Gerard Johnstone, who helmed the first film, returns to direct, alongside producer James Wan for Atomic Monster, producer Jason Blum for Blumhouse, and co-writer Akela Cooper. Allison Williams, Violet McGrew, Brian Jordan Alvarez, and Jen Van Epps return to the cast alongside new characters played by Aristotle Athari (Hacks), Timm Sharp (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), and Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows).
