Fuzz on the Lens Productions, the production team behind the Terrifier series and STREAM, has just released their latest production, Leprechaun Revenge. Leprechaun Revenge is a reimagined continuation of the original 1993 classic, serving as a direct sequel that retcons the rest of the franchise. Michael Leavy and Jason Leavy both wrote, directed, and produced the horror comedy.

Read the full synopsis below:

After surviving the horrors of a malevolent creature obsessed with his gold, an older and reclusive Ozzie Jones has spent decades trying to suppress the trauma of his encounter with the Leprechaun. Now haunted by  hallucinations and living in isolation, his compound is sealed with boarded windows, homemade charms, and  arcane relics—his only defense against a nightmare that he’s convinced isn’t fully over. Will his defenses be enough when the Leprechaun comes for his revenge?

“The Leprechaun franchise holds a special place in my heart—it was the first horror film I ever saw, and it instantly made me want to become a filmmaker. As a lifelong fan, I know this series inside and out, and I wanted to create something I know we all miss,” said Michael Leavy. “This spinoff is pure passion rooted in what we all love about the films —a love letter to the original, paying homage to the franchise’s unique charm and tone, with our own darker,  modern twist, of course.”

Jason Leavy echoes that sentiment, saying, “If we were ever given the opportunity to make a true feature-length Leprechaun film, it would honestly be a dream come true.”

Mark Holton reprises his role as Ozzie, and although this short is under 10 minutes long, he gets a richer and more emotional story founded in his past trauma. Linden Porco (from Leprechaun Returns) also fills familiar golden buckled shoes as the Leprechaun. Maren Altman makes her debut into Leprechaun lore as Ozzie’s long-lost niece mysteriously returns to his life.

“When I did my first Leprechaun, I was brought into the Lep family by the fans. The fans are what make our jobs worth-while and who better to do the next one with than Fuzz on the Lens Productions!” said Porco. “I think it’s time for the fans to have another Leprechaun movie and the Terrifier team, Fuzz on the Lens, are the perfect match to  deliver the franchise what it ultimately deserves. I’ve seen it myself. It’s bloody brilliant.”
