Black Sunday Film Festival Annouces Their Midsummer Scream Line-up [Exclusive]

Following their successful three-day celebration earlier in the year, the Black Sunday Film Festival returns with their annual summer mini-fest: Midsummer Scream. Taking place at Firstsite, Colchester, on July 5, 2025, the festival has given Dread Central an exclusive first look at their mini-fest’s stellar line-up!
Proceedings commence with the UK premiere of the filmmaking odyssey documentary Video Dreams: A VHS Massacre Story from Tom Seymour (VHS Massacre 1 & 2). It features interviews with Lloyd Kaufman, Debbie Rochon, Joe Bob Briggs, and many more.
Next up is the UK premiere of Nordic fantasy drama Vincent: A Story of Supernatural Friendship from David Noel Bourke, starring Mikkel Vadsholt and Herman Knop.
Black Sunday Film Festival then hosts the UK premiere of modern cult thriller The Behemoth from filmmaker Kai E. Bogatzki, starring Sarah Dawes, Ryan Wichert, Beatrice Fletcher, and genre favourite Johnny Vivash.
The day then comes to a close, as is tradition, with the CULT FILM SECRET SCREENING presented by Arrow Video. This Italian classic, restored in stunning 4K, simply has to be experienced on the big screen!
Paired with the feature’s line-up is a super selection of short films, including The Tunnel from writer/director Brendon Cleaves and writer/producer Cera Rose Pickering, Dolos from writer/director James Fletcher and producer Alycia Potter, and Fudge Sundae from filmmaker Georgia Redman.
