Every Entry In This Iconic And Nasty Horror Franchise is Streaming Now

Final Fellas Alex

Three cheers for Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky’s Final Destination Bloodlines. The sixth entry in the long-running series now holds the record for the largest ever opening weekend for a Final Destination film. As of right now, Bloodlines’ global cume is over $100 million. Not bad for a requel arriving at multiplexes 14 years after the last entry. Just when it seemed like there was no life left in the franchise, death defied the odds and renewed interest in one of the most exciting horror franchises of our lifetime.

What works best about Final Destination Bloodlines is how the latest film works independently of the other entries in the series. That is, you don’t need to know the franchise bible backwards and forward to make sense of Bloodlines. You might miss an easter egg or two, but newcomers will find this as accessible an entry point as any. Doesn’t hurt, either, that it’s one of the best in the franchise. But if you are interested in catching up, you can stream the previous five films on Max now. Everyone else is, with the Max charts almost exclusively made up of Final Destination movies. Learn more below:

Per Max: Death comes for a group of teens who escaped their fate on a doomed airliner in this chiller.

That’s right. The first, second, third, fourth (someone has to love it), and fifth Final Destination films are all streaming on Max. You can make an entirely death-defying marathon of it. And when you’re done, you can head straight to the theater to check out Bloodlines. In our four-star review, we wrote, “With Final Destination Bloodlines, Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein deliver a glorious return to form for the franchise, one that’s full of twists, turns, and a pitch-perfect send-off for a cinema icon.” Something tells me we’ll be seeing a lot more death in the future.

Final Destination 2

What’s most interesting is that, when Bloodlines was in the early stages of development several years ago, the release plan actually included a Max debut. Yes, Bloodlines would have been the latest franchise sequel to premiere direct on streaming, circumventing theaters entirely. Luckily, those plans changed, and audiences can now witness one of the year’s best as big and as loud as intended. Afterwards, curl up and revisit where the franchise started on Max.
