‘Thorns’: New Doug Bradley Religious Horror Film Gets Release Date, Trailer [Exclusive]
Hell comes to Earth in the upcoming religious horror film Thorns! Starring Pinhead himself, Doug Bradley, and written/directed by Douglas Schulze, a mysterious signal from space is a harbinger of doom… We have an exclusive first look at the trailer below!

An ex-priest working for NASA is sent to investigate a remote observatory that went silent after receiving a radio signal from deep space. He discovers that the signal has set in motion the biblical end of times.

Schulze, who previously helmed films such as The Dark Below and Hellmaster, said about his new film:
“Thorns is an homage to classic era monster movies. Lots of Easter Eggs for horror fans of The Thing, Scanners, and, of course, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser. We spent all last year taking it to festivals such as Sitges, London Frightfest, Sweden’s Monster of Film, and New York City Horror Film Festival before our 100-screen theatrical release. We’re excited to align with VMI for this partnership.”
Jon Bennett and Cassandra Schomer star in the film alongside Doug Bradley. Thorns is produced by Julie Schulze and Kurt Eli Mayry.
Thorns comes to VOD on May 6, 2025, from Vantage Media, the North American distribution arm of VMI.
