‘Predator: Badlands’ Trailer Reveals That This Time, The Predator is Our Hero
First, Dan Trachtenberg gave us Prey, which took the iconic Predator franchise back in time. Now, he’s returning to the franchise with a new film, Predator: Badlands. And this time, we’ve been flung into the future with a Predator as our hero. The new teaser trailer, released today by 20th Century Fox, also reveals that Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi will star in the latest Predator film.
The current synopsis reads:
In the future on a remote planet, a young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

Trachtenberg reunited with his Prey co-writer Patrick Aison to pen the Predator: Badlands script. Trachtenberg also served as a producer on the film with John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor.
Predator: Badlands comes to theaters and IMAX on November 7, 2025.
