The Pulse is Strong
Pulse: Invasion, the second direct-to-DVD sequel to the American remake of Kairo, has just received a pretty decent cast. Moviehole is reporting that Cabin Fever lead Rider Strong was recently tapped to appear beside Jamie Bamber and Laura Cayouette to name a few familiar names in the upcoming Pulse pack.
According to Moviehole, this third installment into the Pulse series will “take place seven years in the future the survivors on Earth settled into a primitive lifestyle completely void of electronics. The clusters of human survivors live together in refugee camps as the phantoms have taken over the cities. Justine is now a teenager and she escapes to the city to try and make a life for herself where she is not a drain on her adopted family. She heads in to the city at the urging of Adam, a seeming survivor in the city that lures her with promises of understanding and friendship.”
The first remake burned me pretty bad and beat all of us over the head with its message… Will these direct-to-video follow-ups learn from previous mistakes? Will death still taste like metal? Will red tape be the wonder cure for all technological born evil? I honestly don’t care.
