The official artwork is here for the sea-faring indie monster flick Dead Sea, which will be hitting DVD on April 15, and we truly dig it! In fact, it’s a fine example of artwork alone being enough to make us watch the flick. Remember those times? Ah, the 80s!
Synopsis:
Dead Sea follows a marine biologist who reluctantly returns to the town she grew up in, only to encounter the violent paranoia that has overtaken its locals as they prepare for the return of a serpentine creature said to appear every thirty years to feed.
The science fiction thriller is written and directed by Brandon Slagle (2012 Shockfest Award Winner – Best Director, The Black Dahlia Haunting) and stars Alexis Iacono (The Penny Dreadful Picture Show, Blue Caprice), Britt Griffith (Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters”), Devanny Pinn (Nude Nuns with Big Guns), James Duval (Independence Day, Donnie Darko), Chanel Ryan (Bad Kids Go to Hell, BASEketball), Candace Kita (Barb Wire, “Nip/Tuck”), Jw Wiseman (“Deadliest Warrior”), Tawny Amber Young (The Guilt Trip, Bloodsucka Jones), and KJ McCormick (Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters”).
Creature effects are being provided by Phil Nichols of Facades FX Lab (Arlington Road, Boggy Creek, the upcoming Bigfoot Wars).
