True Blood Replacement Star Named!

A while back we told you that the role of Jessica’s new vampy love interest on “True Blood,” originally played by Luke Grimes, was being recast, and today we have the name of the actor who’s filling the vacant spot. If we didn’t know it was a different guy, without looking at them together we wouldn’t even have noticed.

TVLine reports that “Bunheads” barkeep Nathan Parsons (pictured) will step into the series regular role previously played by Grimes when the HBO hit returns with its seventh and final season this summer.

Grimes asked to be released from his “True Blood” contract due to the creative direction of his brooding, soulful vampire character.

“True Blood” returns for its farewell season in June 2014.
