There have been countless adaptations of Stephen King’s literary output over the past 45+ years. Some of the renderings are beloved by fans and critics alike. Others seem to be more … divisive. One of the most polarizing adaptations of the director’s work is now free-to-stream. We have the lowdown on where to watch it if you are curious to see what all the fuss is about.

The film in question, A Good Marriage, was helmed by Peter Askin, with King penning the screen treatment for his novella. In spite of best laid plans, the picture didn’t really connect with critics or fans upon release. The feature sits at an abysmal 32% ‘fresh’ rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and only scores a 20% approval rating from movie lovers on the aggregate review site.

With that said, when Dread Central‘s Staci Layne Wilson critiqued the film in 2014, she was quick to give her stamp of approval. But even her positive-skewing review isn’t what one might call a glowing recommendation. Wilson had the following to say: “The movie’s worth a watch, but just one. Regardless, King’s fans will flock.” Wilson gives the film an overall score of 3/5.

A Good Marriage is currently available to stream via Tubi, Pluto, Plex, and several other AVOD platforms. So you can take your pick of where to watch the Stephen King adaptation for free.

The setup goes like this: With her husband of 20 years away on a business trip, Darcy goes into the garage where she discovers that her partner is definitely not who she thought he was; her find gives her no option but to end what was, from the outside, the perfect marriage.

That’s all we’ve got for you for the time being, constant reader. But stay tuned to the site for more news on what’s streaming where in the near future. And be sure to follow @DreadCentral on Twitter so you never miss an exciting update.
