Yet Another Helmer for The Watch
The trades are reporting that things have finally started happening again for the WWII horror film The Watch, which has been in various stages of development hell for years now.
Originally it was a film that both Darkness Fallsdirector Jonathan Liebesman and Jeepers Creepers helmer Victor Salva were attached to direct, but now New Line has brought on board Final Destination director James Wan to re-write the script and direct. The story revolves around a group of soldiers trapped in a snowbound forest, fighting against a supernatural evil that the Nazis have unleashed to help them win the war.
The Watch is now on the fast track with former “Friends” star Matt LeBlanc and John Goldstone producing it through their newly-formed Front Hill Productions shingle.
Hope it finally actually gets made in our forums!
