Let Cthulhu Become Your Typing Coach in Tentacle Typer
I get that writing a story is hard. Thankfully, Tentacle Typer is combining a text editor, an RPG, and Cthulhu.
If you ever really wanted to write that story, this may be the way to do it. Tentacle Typer puts you in the role of a Lovecraftian monster that is trapped inside of a steampunk mansion. Thankfully, it finds a typewriter that can power the various mechanisms in the mansion. The catch? You can write literally whatever you want on the typewriter. It all works and it all powers the mansion. So this is your chance to really get some work done.
Outside of using the typewriter to power the mansion, though, you are still trying to find a way to escape. You’ll be able to collect and use items that should hopefully help you on your journey, and hopefully escape. For example, you have a canary in a cage that tweets when you’re near important things. Always useful. The whole game is the work of one developer, Josh Leap, who has been chronicling his adventure of making the game over on Twitter.
If Tentacle Typer appeals to you, the game will launch some time in 2021. You can add it to your wishlist here.
