While we’ll be there to provide you in-depth coverage of Knott’s Scary Farm’s opening night on September 26th (including the reception, a chat with the legendary Elvira, full maze and show reviews, and more), here’s early word on what park visitors can expect this Halloween season!
From the Press Release
Knott’s Scary Farm, home of spine-tingling fears in Buena Park, CA, has added even more thrills and excitement to its already monstrous Halloween Haunt lineup. Guests will thrill to the many ways they can customize their night with new ticket, dining, and Elvira merchandise opportunities now on-sale.
Brand new for 2013, Fright Lane with Skeleton Key offers guests unlimited priority access to eleven mazes all night long. The Skeleton Key, which is included with all Fright Lane passes, will “unlock” a secret extra room that dares guests to delve deeper into the mysterious backstories of five mazes. Guests will learn more terrifying details about the creatures and monsters that inhabit each maze in an intimate and interactive prologue to terror. This theme park industry-first awaits the brave at Black Magic, Gunslinger’s Grave, ENDGAMES: Warriors of the Apocalypse, Dominion of the Dammed, and Uncle Willy’s Slaughter House. Fright Lane passes with Skeleton Key start at $65.00. Guests can save $5.00 when purchasing a Knott’s Scary Farm Event and Fright Lane with Skeleton Key Combo ticket at the official Knott’s Scary Farm website.
Knott’s also offers Fast Lane passes, which allows guests to scream to the front-of the line at some of Knott’s world-class coasters, including GhostRider, the biggest, baddest wooden roller coaster in the West; Silver Bullet, the longest suspended roller coaster in Southern California; or on the all-new Coast Rider, a mild-but-wild screamer in the newly expanded Boardwalk.
The wildly popular pre-scare Boo-fet serves up a meal to die for at Spurs and Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Get into the spirit early by enjoying Knott’s famous home style cooking and exclusive early access to Knott’s Scary Farm a few minutes before it opens to all guests. The delicious boo-fet also includes a collectible souvenir cup, which guests can re-fill in the park during any 2013 visit for only $0.99. Boo-fet tickets are $24.99 when purchased online and $29.99 at the door. Knott’s Scary Farm tickets are required for access to the Boo-fet and reservations are limited so guests are encouraged to book their meal early.
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, returns to Knott’s with an all-new show, Elvira’s Sinema Séance, in 2013 (through Oct. 31) and will hold a special merchandise signing event, Elvira’s Boo-tique Experience, for a few lucky fans each night. A limited number of guests who purchase at least $40 of Elvira merchandise during Scary Farm operating hours and only at the Ride Warriors shop will receive a commemorative ticket for Elvira’s Boo-tique Experience. The ticket will grant the guest a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Elvira and collect her famous signature on one piece of merchandise purchased at the event. Elvira’s Boo-tique Experience will take place from 10pm-11pm each event night (excluding November 1 and 2).
Knott’s Scary Farm Halloween Haunt dates are September 26-29, October 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 30-31, and November 1-2, 2013. Event hours are 7pm-1am; Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm-2am. Haunt is a special ticket event not covered by regular Knott’s Berry Farm admission or a Knott’s Season Pass. Halloween Haunt is not recommended for children under 13. There are no guest costumes or re-entry privileges allowed for this event. Ticket prices are $38-$54 presale online and $62 day of event. Knott’s Scary Farm tickets are available at Knott’s Guest Relations, by phone at Knott’s Haunt Line (714) 220-5200, or online at the official Knott’s Scary Farm website (service charges apply).
