The Devil works hard, but not as hard as the #1 Netflix documentary. It debuted on October 17th and immediately claimed a top spot in the charts. The film covers one of the wildest cases to ever go to trial in the U.S. and has inspired countless possession movies. The Devil on Trial has compelled many viewers to hit play this week. Let’s get to know it a bit better, shall we?

The Devil on Trial was directed by Chris Holt. The film features interviews with Arne Cheyenne Johnson, the formerly possessed man who stood trial for manslaughter while claiming to be inhabited by a demonic entity at the time of the murder. The Netflix title is comprised of home footage, reenactments, and interviews with the people who lived through this chaotic tale.

Twitter believes the documentary proves that Ed and Lorraine Warren might have been grifters. Others are still questioning some of the unexplainable parts of this wild story. Whatever side of the conversation people fall on, they cannot look away from this bizarre tale.
