The #1 Series On Netflix Will Leave your “Jaw on the floor”

This thrilling new German Netflix title has claimed the top spot again. It seems even more people are getting pulled into Dear Child (also known as Liebes Kind) this week as the limited series in the #1 again. Allow us to give you a refresher on this binge-worthy show. 

In Dear Child:

“Lena lives in complete isolation in a highly secure home with the two children Hannah and Jonathan. They eat their meals, go to the toilet, and to bed at precisely prescribed times. As soon as he enters the room, they line up to show their hands. They do everything he says. Until the young woman manages to escape. After a near-fatal car accident, she is hospitalized, accompanied by Hannah.

Dear Child starts where traditional thrillers end: with redemption. But the true extent of this nightmare is revealed with the arrival of Lena’s parents at the hospital the same night. They have been desperately searching for their missing daughter for almost 13 years…”

Dear Child was adapted for the screen and directed by Julian Pörksen and Isabel Kleefeld. It is based on the novel of the same name written by Romy Hausmann.

The cast includes Kim Riedle (Skylines, Back for Good), Hans Löw (I’m Your Man, Toni Erdmann, In My Room), Naila Schuberth (Bird Box: Barcelona, Blackout), Sammy Schrein (German Crime Story: Gefesselt), Justus von Dohnányi (Downfall, The Experiment, We Are Next of Kin), Julika Jenkins (Vitus, Dark, Tatort), and Haley Louise Jones (Paradise, Bones and NamesIvie wie Ivie).
