This new Netflix title has taken the top spot for a second week. The Swedish film is inspired by a true story and takes viewers on quite a journey. A Day and a Half is the #1 thriller on the Films (Non-English) Chart. Let’s celebrate that as we get to know more about her.

“To reunite with his daughter, Artan (Alexej Manvelov) takes his ex-wife Louise (Alma Pöysti) hostage and embarks on a thrilling and emotion-charged road trip with her and police officer Lukas (Fares Fares). The journey takes them through rural Sweden during a hot summer, all while having police on their heels.”

The movie stars Alexej Manvelov (Chernobyl, Top Dog), Fares Fares (Westworld, Chernobyl), Alma Pöysti (Tove, Fallen Leaves), Stina Ekblad (Wallander, Fanny and Alexander), Bengt C.W. Carlsson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Death of a Pilgrim), Annica Liljeblad (Black Beauty), Annika Hallin (The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest), and Johni Tadi (Snabba Cash).
