‘Clock’ Is A New Kind of Pregnancy Horror [Watch]

Clock pregnancy horror

One of the many blessings of being assigned female at birth is the societal pressure to procreate. When it comes down to it, so many people look at women as walking wombs just waiting to be impregnated. But what if a woman doesn’t want children? It’s a reality that many don’t seem to grasp and understand, something I myself have experienced after recently getting married. Director Alexis Jacknow taps into that very specific experience with her new film Clock.

Clock is the story of a woman (Dianna Agron) who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children.

The film is based on Jacknow’s short film of the same name. The short was developed in 2020 as part of the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite-Size Halloween”.

Agron stars in Clock alongside Jay Ali, Saul Rubinek, and Melora Hardin.

Clock comes to Hulu on April 28, 2023.
