This Horror/Sci-Fi Trilogy is Now Dominating The Netflix Top 10 Charts

Nostalgia is a powerful thing, and our favorite streamer is reaping those benefits today. This week sees a 20-year-old Vin Diesel-led trilogy dominating the Netflix charts. According to FlixpatrolPitch Black is #6, The Chronicles Of Riddick at #7, and Riddick is #5 on the Netflix Top 10 Charts.

In the original film, a transport ship crashes and leaves its crew stranded on a desert planet inhabited by bloodthirsty creatures that come out during an eclipse.

Pitch Black was directed by David Twohy. The screenplay was written by David Twohy and based on a story by Jim Wheat and Ken Wheat. It starred Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser, Vin Diesel, and Keith David.

Because of its success, Pitch Black spawned two sequels and even a couple of video games, so it is no surprise that Netflix acquiring all three films sent fans into orbit. Many stans are just happy to finally have the whole trilogy streaming somewhere.

Fans have been waiting for news on the next installment, Riddick: Furya, for quite some time. This new film would see Riddick return to his home world. The movie would also see Diesel and Twohy team up again.
