‘Children of the Corn’ Reboot Trailer: Stephen King’s Classic Tale Regrown [Watch]

Children Of The Corn

In 1977, Stephen King terrified readers with his short story “Children of the Corn”, a tale of creepy children, cults, and sentient corn. It’s had a grip on the collective cultural consciousness ever since, with a feature-length film adaptation released in 1984 followed by nine more films and a 2009 reboot. Now, director Kurt Wimmer is stepping into the corn-filled ring with his adaptation of the classic horror story.

Read the full synopsis:

Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.

This looks like Wimmer is going to remove outsiders Vicky and Burt who discover the fictional Nebraska town of Gatlin. Instead, we’re going to see rebellion within the ranks of the town’s children.

Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer, Callan Mulvey, and Bruce Spence star in the film.

Children Of The Corn comes to theaters on March 3, 2023 and to digital and VOD on March 21, 2023.
