John Carpenter To Host Kaiju Film Event Masters of Monsters
Horror master John Carpenter is just like us: he loves Godzilla movies. And what’s not to love about them? From the horrors of the original to the camp sensibilities of the following films, there’s nothing better than kaiju mayhem. So in celebration of Godzilla Day on November 3, Carpenter is hosting a series of streaming events from Scream Factory in honor of the monstrous lizard himself.
The filmmaker will present his 4 favorite kaiju films directed by Ishiro Hondo: Godzilla, The Uncut Japanese Original (Gojira), Rodan, Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster, and The War of the Gargantuas. John Carpenter will make appearances throughout to discuss his great love and admiration for the franchise.
