Adam Wingard Announces The Release of ‘The Guest 2’ [Exclusive]

After eight long years, director Adam Wingard has revealed exclusively to Dread Central that he’s releasing a sequel to his 2014 film The Guest! But it’s in the unexpected format of a soundtrack, curated by Wingard himself. Lakeshore Records is set to release The Guest 2: Original Soundtrack featuring music by eleven bands including Steve Moore, OGRE Sound, Lone Runner, Ghost Cop, Xander Harris, and director Adam Wingard. Through song titles, musical tones, and a stunning album cover illustration we learn what became of David, Anna, Brendan, and Major Carver after the events of The Guest. The album is out digitally today and a vinyl edition is forthcoming.
We sat down with Wingard to chat about The Guest, if he’d release an actual The Guest II movie, tripping on mushrooms, ranking his movies, and more!
