Basements are creepy. Sure, a finished basement can be a cozy hangout. But many basements are dank, dimly lit spaces dedicated to piles of Christmas decorations, tools, and whatever else needs to be stored away. In Dread’s upcoming film The Cellar, director and writer Brendan Muldowney takes our fears of basements and cranks it up to 11.
In the film, Keira Woods’ daughter mysteriously vanishes in the cellar of their new house. She soon discovers there is an ancient and powerful entity controlling their home that she will have to face or risk losing her family’s souls forever. Now, we have a trailer that teases the subterranean terror awaiting audiences.
