Here’s Your First Look at Joel and Ellie in HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’
The image will have to tide us over until a premiere date is announced for the 10-episode series.
Today, we have the first image from The Last of Us to share with you all! Check it out and read more about the series below.
The image above shows Ellie (L) and Jole (R) played by Ramsey and Pascal respectively. Fans will immediately notice that the characters are dressed exactly as they are in the video game.
HBO’s series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us will star Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey with Anna Torv, Merle Dandrige, Nico Parker, Gabriel Luna, Murray Bartlett and Con O’Neill in supporting roles.
The Last of Us presents a dystopian future where humans fight for survival against hordes of zombies.
Joel (Pascal) smuggles Ellie out of her derelict home and brings her to the Fireflies, a cure-searching organization. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
As we previously reported, Kantemir Balagov is directing the pilot episode while Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin is writing and will executive produce the series along with Neil Druckmann.
Druckmann and Mazin write and executive produce. Carolyn Strauss also executive produces the new series along with Naughty Dog president Evan Wells.
The project is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television. PlayStation Productions, Word Games, and Naughty Dog will also produce.
While we don’t have a premiere date at this time, we know that the series will be 10-episodes long. We’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. Stay tuned and check back often!
