in-screen

Host was one of the best-loved films released in 2020. Directed by Rob Savage from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jed Shepherd and Gemma Hurley, Host was a product of the initial COVID-19 lockdown that struck a chord with horror fans worldwide. Why? Because Host is scary as hell!

The next nightmare from this filmmaking trio is Dashcam, premiering later this summer at TIFF.

Produced by Blumhouse, the short synopsis for Dashcam reads:

A caustic online streamer’s anarchic behaviour triggers a non-stop nightmare in the latest screenlife frightfest from Rob Savage (Host).

This isn’t much else we can report about Dashcam at this time, but we’ll keep you posted on the film as additional details emerge.

If you slept on Host in 2020, check out the trailer and synopsis below.

Synopsis:
Six friends accidentally invite the attention of a demonic presence during an online séance and begin noticing strange occurrences in their homes.
