Michael C. Hall is back as serial killer Dexter in the first look trailer for Dexter: New Blood! The new series drops on November 7th on Showtime.
If you’re like me, you’re literally counting down the hours until the premiere. Luckily the new trailer fresh out of Comic-Con has got a lot of new answers for fans of the series.

The twisted and highly popular original show lasted for eight seasons before calling it quits nearly a decade ago. Dexter ran on Showtime between 2006 and 2013, producing nearly 100 episodes of the grisly drama.
In 2020 the series was announced to be returning for a final ninth season. However, it’s looking like Dexter has landed himself in a whole new series worth of trouble. Showtime has branded the new run with the New Blood moniker, and I’m invested…
Could we be in for more than just one final season? Hard to say yet, but if this new trailer has any indication of quality, then I’m excited to see how Dexter: New Blood will turn out.
As of right now, expect a ten-episode limited series primarily directed by Marcos Siega, who is no freshman to the Dexter universe.
The cast includes a variety of new players, like horror icon Clancy Brown, who plays the role of Kurt Caldwell, the lead villain of this new series. Julia Jones and Johnny Seqyouyah, David Magidoff, Oscar Wahlberg, Alano Miller, Jack Alcott and Jamie Chung are also set to appear in the frosty new series.
The original series followed an unassuming blood-spatter analyst who happened to moonlight as a serial killer on the hunt for murderers.
