THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN Adds Michelle Yeoh to Roster

Michelle Yeoh has just been announced as the latest cast member of the upcoming Netflix prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin. She will play Scían, the sole remaining member of a nomadic tribe of sword elves. The actress will join previously announced cast member Laurence O’Fuarain, who has been tapped to play Fjall (one in a long line of warriors tasked with protecting a king).

The Witcher: Blood Origin is a six-part, live-action series. The upcoming prequel takes place 1200-years prior to the events depicted in The Witcher.

Synopsis: The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.

No word just yet on when you can expect The Witcher: Blood Origin to hit Netflix. But we do know that season two of The Witcher is hitting the streaming platform in the final months of 2021. The Witcher is based on the book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski.
