Special F/X guru Robert Hall and actor Kevin Gage will be at Dark Delicacies tomorrow, January 16th, signing Blu-ray copies of the film Lightning Bug, which was written and directed by Hall and stars Gage.

The signing is on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Dark Delicacies Bookstore at 3512 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA.

Join award-winning special effects makeup wizard Robert Hall and star Kevin Gage on Wednesday evening, January 16th, at Burbank’s famed Dark Delicacies bookstore to sign Blu-rays of Hall’s screenwriting and directorial debut feature Lightning Bug, premiering in the high-def format from Image Entertainment.

After wowing genre and mainstream audiences and fans during its initial DVD release, Image Entertainment is releasing Lightning Bug for the very first time on Blu-ray January 15th in an all-new, never-before-seen extended cut. The screenwriting and directorial debut of award-winning special makeup effects wizard Robert Hall (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” Pineapple Express, Quarantine, Superbad), Lighting Bug launched a career that eventually spawned the creation of horror icon ChromeSkull in Hall’s Laid to Rest and ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2.

Lightning Bug is a nostalgic journey through the budding aspirations and sobering realities of youth, as told semi-autobiographically by writer/director Hall, with a stellar cast including Laura Prepon (“That 70’s Show”), Bret Harrison (“Grounded For Life,” “The O.C.”), Kevin Gage (Heat) and Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser and Hellraiser II).

Bonus features on the Lightning Bug Blu-ray include an Extended Cut version of the film (additional 15 minutes), brand new featurette Afterglow: A Look Back at Lightning Bug, Lucifern: The Making of Lightning Bug featurette, audio commentary with writer/director Robert Hall and cast, deleted scenes, and more.
