Exclusive: James DeMonaco is Already Working on a Script for THE PURGE 6!

If you look up The Forever Purge on Wikipedia, you’ll read that the upcoming movie “is the fifth and final film in the Purge franchise”.

Well, I’ve seen The Forever Purge and, while I’m not at liberty to discuss the film at this time, I can reveal that I was disappointed by Wikipedia’s assertion that The Purge franchise will end here. I mean, I would really REALLY like to see the series continue!
So when I had a chance to speak with The Purge franchise Mastermind Jame DeMonaco during a virtual press junket earlier this week, I couldn’t help but as (in a voice that bordered on a plea): “Is the really the end for The Purge?”
“Between you and I, man, I really intended for [The Forever Purge] to be the last one…” DeMonaco told me, “up until 4 months ago when I woke up and had an idea for [The Purge] 6.”
The director of the first 3 Purge movies has written them all. About The Purge 6, the filmmaker continued, “I had this idea… I can flip this thing upside down and we can continue this, maybe, in a way that people can enjoy… I’m actually outlining it right now in between these interviews! If the Movie Gods say, ‘People want to see it’ then we’ll do it. But I always leave it to the audience to tell us if they want more of it. But we’re ready! I have another one if they want it.”
Yes Please!

After the annual Purge is abolished, a group of masked outlaw Purgers in Texas refuse to give up the fight in director Everardo Gout’s fifth and final movie in the dystopian horror franchise.
Everardo Gout (Mars) directs The Forever Purge from a screenplay written and co-produced by creator James DeMonaco. Josh Lucas, Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta, Leven Rambin, Will Patton, and Cassidy Freeman star.
