Magic Stone Productions (Magic Stone) and Brainstorm Media are pleased to announce that their feature length documentary The American Scream is now available on Blu-ray and DVD exclusively at theamericanscreammovie.com. The American Scream is the latest documentary from director Michael Paul Stephenson, following his critically acclaimed Best Worst Movie.
The American Scream is a touching documentary that follows three Halloween-obsessed households as they transform their homes into neighbor-terrifying supernatural wonderlands. Endless styrofoam tombstones and backyard beasts come courtesy of a few supremely dedicated local “home haunters” who’ve devoted their lives to the art of handmade monster making.
The film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, in September 2012, where it won the award for Best Picture in the Documentary Features category and received rave reviews. The American Scream went on to delight television audiences when it premiered on NBCUniversal’s Chiller network on October 28, 2012, with Entertainment Weekly calling it a “must watch”.
Magic Stone is releasing this heartwarming documentary as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack in time for the holiday season. Priced at $17.99, this exclusive offer of the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will be available for purchase exclusively at theamericanscreammovie.com and includes a follow-up featurette. The American Scream on DVD will not be available at retailers until fall 2013.
