Anya Taylor-Joy stars with Maisie Williams, and also Charlie Heaton. The flick takes place in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants submits to psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences take place, The New Mutant’s abilities and friendships are tested as they battle to make it out alive.

Rated PG-13 for violent content, some disturbing/bloody images, some strong language, thematic elements, and also suggestive material.

Disney took over the rights to the film from 20th Century Fox last year. Disney’s Home Entertainment division released The New Mutants on DVD, Blu-ray, and also Ultra HD Blu-ray on November 17, 2020.

It sports a 35% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Rendering a list of potentially explosive ingredients mostly inert, The New Mutants is a franchise spinoff that’s less than the sum of its super-powered parts.

Go ahead and give the flick a watch and let us know what you think. If you don’t already have a subscription to HBO Max (and after Godzilla vs Kong, who doesn’t) you can give it a whirl right over HERE.
