Jennifer Jason Leigh Joins New Season of HUNTERS

Jennifer Jason Leigh was badass in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. Not to mention Annihilation and Possessor. But now she’ll be hunting-nazis badass. Yes, she’s joined the upcoming second season of Jordan Peele and Amazon’s Hunters.
Leigh will play Chava, a Holocaust survivor, and legendary Nazi hunter. Cassidy Layton played the young version of the character in the series premiere.
Leigh recently wrapped the Apple TV+ adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story. Plus she’s in the upcoming Netflix thriller with Amy Adams, The Woman in the Window.

Inspired by true events, Hunters follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City. They discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America.
And so, they do what any bad-ass vigilante squad would do. They set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
The series also stars Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Lena Olin, and Dylan Baker (Trick ‘r Treat).
Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) executive produces with creator/showrunner David Weil. Win Rosenfeld also serves as an executive producer along with Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, Phil Abraham, David Rosen, Jerry Kupfer, David Ellender, and Matt Loze.
I’m always excited to see Jennifer Jason Leigh. After all, she’s low-key horror royalty. Think about it. She sported roles in classics such as The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer, Single White Female, David Cronenberg’s eXistenZ, and The Machinist.
Not to mention, Stephen King’s Dolores Claiborne, In the Cut, The Jacket, and Amityville: The Awakening. Hell, her first role was in Shock Waves and The Return of the Living Dead Part II director Ken Wiederhorn’s slasher Eyes of a Stranger.
