Weeks Later Shooting Begins

Shooting on Fox Atomic’s upcoming sequel to Danny Boyle’s non-zombie zombie film, 28 Days Later, began in earnest on Friday with Intacto helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo behind the camera.

28 Weeks Later, as I’m sure you know, takes place six months after the rage virus, accidentally let out by some tree-hugging animal activists, has decimated the UK. The US butts in, as we always do, and announces that it’s finally time to start rebuilding. Like most of our military decisions as of late, we’re terribly ill-informed, and a reunited family with a horrible secret brings a new strain of the virus that is even more dangerous than before.

Robert (Full Monty) Carlyle, Rose (Sunshine) Byrne, Jeremy (Dahmer) Renner, and Catherine (Braveheart) McCormack all star in the sequel.
