New Dissecting Horror with MAKING MONSTERS Team Hits April 7

Get ready for the next installment of our Dissecting Horror digital panel series. It takes place Wednesday, April 7th at 6 pm PST with the talent from Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Making Monsters. Panelists are writer/director Justin Harding, cinematographer Stuart Cameron, composer Vivien Villani and star Jonathan Craig. Making Monsters is also now available On Digital and On Demand.
Synopsis:
A social media prankster and his fiancée find their idyllic country weekend turn into the ultimate video prank where the stakes are life and death.
The film stars Alana Elmer, Tim Loden, Jonathan Craig, Jarrett Siddall and also King Chiu.
Dissecting Horror will be streamed on Dread Central’s Facebook and also Twitch Channel. The panel will also be made available on our official YouTube channel.
Dread Central and also Jordan von Netzer of Projection PR launched “Dissecting Horror” on April 15. That panel focused on horror film scores. Since then, they’ve produced panels spotlighting stunt coordinators, visual/special effects, and more. Plus sat down with the creatives behind Followed, Cruiser, 12 Hour Shift, Don’t Look Back, Hunter Hunter, Willy’s Wonderland, Wrong Turn, Dreamcatcher, and also Parallel.

ABOUT THE PANELISTS:
JUSTIN HARDING (Director/Writer)
As a multi-award-winning filmmaker and television showrunner. Justin Harding has worked as a director on a wide variety of television series and film projects in various genres. His passion for creating monsters earned his horror shorts over 50 awards in film festivals around the world. Justin writes, directs, edits, and creates visual effects for his own films.
In 2016, Justin co-founded the Bokeh Collective. It’s a Toronto-based production house producing premium entertainment with clients interested in telling cutting-edge stories with cinematic production value.
Justin’s credits include TIFF selected Latched, SXSW selected Kookie, and Point of View from the anthology A Night of Horror. Justin’s most recent projects include the short Carved produced by Fox Studios for Hulu’s “Huluween Film Festival”. And his award-winning feature Making Monsters he directed from his script. Justin is also the Showrunner and director of Netflix’s hit series Restaurants on the Edge.
STUART CAMERON (Cinematographer)
Stuart Cameron honed his cinematography skills in the factual TV and Documentary industry for 15 years. Now he’s carved out a niche in the Toronto commercial and film industry. He’s a hard-working, creative, and solution-oriented DOP with a sharp eye for cutting edge visuals and poetic lighting. Pulling from a deep well of diverse experience, Stuart can help bring any vision to life with professional finesse.

VIVIEN VILLANI (Composer)
Vivien Villani is a classically-trained French-Italian film composer. He studied composition in several Music Conservatories in Paris and holds a Master’s Degree in Film Studies from Sorbonne University.
Villani started his career as a journalist and a professor of Film Scoring in Paris. He also released a textbook on Film Scoring and a monography about Dario Argento. He then moved to Los Angeles to dedicate to film scoring, while still giving occasional lectures in New York University.
Passionate by the Horror Genre, he worked on several highly successful Horror films. Especially The Smiling Man by AJ Briones, Latched by Justin Harding and Rob Brunner and Making Monsters. He’s currently working with AJ Briones on the Horror feature film The Visiting Stone. He also scored fascinating projects in very different genres. Examples include the romantic drama Morning After by Patricia Chica or the dramedy Better Days by Alessio di Giambattista. Most of his soundtracks have been performed by live orchestras.
JONATHAN CRAIG (David)
Jonathan Craig is a Special FX and Prosthetics Artist and Actor who works out of Toronto, and Southern Ontario. He has been doing FX for over 15 years. He also worked in the Film and Television industry as a Camera Operator for over 20 years.
