RIP Yaphet Kotto: ALIEN Actor Has Passed Away at 81

Tonight brings the heartbreaking news that Yaphet Kotto, the actor horror fans loved as Parker in Alien, has passed away at the age of 81. Tessie Sinahon, his wife of 24 years, made the announcement on Facebook, admitting she’s still in shock.
“He died last night around 10:30 pm Philippine time. A good man, a good father, a good husband, and a decent human being, very rare to find. Rest in Peace Honey, I’m gonna miss you every day, my best friend, my rock. I love you and you will always be in my heart. Till we meet again!”
Sinahon mentions that Kotto was up for roles in several projects, including a new G.I. Joe film and a movie with Tom Cruise. He had also hoped to release a book. You can read her full statement on Facebook.
