DEXTER: New Season Adds Mark Wahlberg’s Nephew & More

Showtime’s limited series Dexter revival with Michael C. Hall and Clancy Brown hits later this year. We are excited as f*ck. And today, the cast added Donnie and Mark Wahlberg’s nephew, Oscar, and Sorority Row, Sucker Punch star Jamie Chung.

Chung plays Molly: “a famous true-crime podcaster from Los Angeles.” Wahlberg plays Zach: “The captain of the Iron Lake High School wrestling team” and the “gateway to the in-crowd, which includes the daughter of the chief of police.”

Julia Jones (The Mandalorian) will lead the new cast along with Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), and Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird).

Jones will play Angela Bishop, the first Native American Chief of Police in her upstate New York town. Sequoyah is Audrey, Bishop’s brash and opinionated teenage daughter. Miller will play Logan, a sergeant for the Iron Lake Police Department and the assistant wrestling coach for the local high school. Alcott is Randall, with whom Dexter has a meaningful encounter (whatever that means…)

Marcos Siega will helm six of the revival’s ten episodes. He will also executive produce with Hall. John Goldwyn will too with Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, Scott Reynolds. Clyde Phillips, the showrunner on the first four seasons, returns as well.

Production begins soon in Massachusetts with a premiere set for this fall.
