A QUIET PLACE PART II Will Now Open in September

Paramount Pictures has delayed writer-director John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II again. Originally set to hit last March, it was delayed until this April due to COVID. But today we hear it’s been pushed again and will now open on September 17th.

We’ll let you know if this changes. Again.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

John Krasinski writes and directs based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck. Michael Bay produces with Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski. Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, and Aaron Janus are executive producers.

Emily Blunt stars as Evelyn Abbott. Millicent Simmonds joins her as Regan Abbott, along with Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott, Cillian Murphy as Emmett, and John Krasinski as Lee Abbott. We have no idea who Djimon Hounsou plays.

Paramount has snagged Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter) to write and direct A Quiet Place Part III based on an original idea by Krasinski. The plot is under wraps, but sources speculate it won’t be a straight sequel. Instead, it will “broadened the world that the original introduced.” Bay, Form, Fuller, and Krasinski produce.

Writer-director John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II  hits on September 17th.
