A QUIET PLACE PART III Snags Writer-Director Jeff Nichols & 2022 Release Date
Paramount Pictures has snagged Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special, Take Shelter, Mud, and Loving) to write and direct A Quiet Place Part III based on an original idea by John Krasinski. Paramount has set a release date in 2022.
The plot is under wraps, but Deadline speculates it won’t be a straight sequel, but “broadened the world that the original introduced.” Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski produce with Allyson Seeger as Executive Producer.
In the meantime, the sequel will kick off after the deadly events of the first film and find the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) now facing the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
Written and directed by Krasinski based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck it is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski. Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, and Aaron Janus are executive producers.
A Quiet Place Part II is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 23, 2021.
