New I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER Adds Madison Iseman & More
Amazon Studios is rebooting I Know What You Did Last Summer with an all-new series. And today the reboot has snagged its cast including Annabelle Comes Home and Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween star Madison Iseman.
Iseman’s co-stars include Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene (Stumptown), Cassie Beck (Connecting), Brooke Bloom (Homecoming), and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman).
Executive produced by James Wan (The Conjuring) and written by Sara Goodman (Preacher) based on Lois Duncan’s novel. It will be a modern take on the 1997 film and sport the same premise. In a town full of secrets, a mysterious killer stalks a group of teenagers a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night.

The Boy (no, the other one) director Craig William Macneill will helm and executive produce the pilot. Wan will executive produce with Goodman, Shay Hatten, Neil Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Rob Hackett, Michael Clear, and Erik Feig.
Albert Cheng, COO and CO-Head of Television, Amazon Studios says: “The best horror franchises always have another scare coming, and this I Know What You Did Last Summer series from [writer] Sara Goodman is a perfectly twisted update to the iconic slasher movie. Any way you slice it, our global Prime Video customers will love this modern take on the fan-favorite film.”
Kevin Williamson (Scream) wrote the original film. It followed four friends a year after running over a fisherman and dumping his body in the water. Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) receives a frightening letter and a man with a meat hook runs down Barry (Ryan Phillippe). The bloodletting only increases from there. The killer with the hook stalks Julie, Helen (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr.).
The film sports a 43% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: A by-the-numbers slasher that arrived a decade too late, the mostly tedious I Know What You Did Last Summer will likely only hook diehard fans of the genre.
