TERMINATOR: Nick Stahl Would Love to Return as John Connor

Bully and Hunter Hunter star Nick Stahl played John Connor in director Jonathan Mostow’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. If you didn’t know. Or, you know, forgot. And today, he says he’d love to return to the series if given the chance.

Stahl tells ComicBook.com: “I would jump at the opportunity. I love those movies, I grew up watching Terminator movies and was just thrilled to be a part of that role in that franchise. So, yeah, that would be something I would love to do.”

So has he heard anything about a new entry in the Terminator series?

He says: “No. Short answer. I haven’t heard anything about a new Terminator movie... Wish I had a more exciting answer for you, but that’s it.”

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines found Connor (Stahl), living with no record of his existence. Or more specifically, no way he can be traced by Skynet. Out of the shadows of the future steps the T-X (Kristanna Loken), Skynet’s most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet. Now Connor’s only hope for survival is his mysterious former assassin, the Terminator (Schwarzenegger). Together, they must triumph over the technologically superior T-X and.. wait for it … stall Judgment Day.

Hal Lieberman produced T3 with Colin Wilson, Mario F. Kassar, Andrew G. Vajna, and Joel B. Michaels. The film sports a 69% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Although T3 never reaches the heights of the second movie, it is a welcome addition to the Terminator franchise.
