ENCINO MAN: Brendan Fraser & Pauly Shore Up For Disney+ Sequel

One of my favorite comedies from childhood is Encino Man. The flick’s 30th anniversary is coming up soon and today we hear a sequel might still happen.

Well, if Pauly Shore has any say.

The Weasel – along with co-stars Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings) and Brendan Fraser (The Mummy) want Disney+ to produce the new movie.

Shore shared on Instagram: “Good o’l Encino Man, remember this classic? How many people want to see Encino Man 2?! Hit up Disney+ on social media and let them know Brendan, Sean, and myself are ready to go! Let’s do this 2021. Let’s Wiez the prune juice dooooooooodz.”

He goes onto say this: “These are the kind of vibes we need right now!!! Encino Man 2. Come on @disneyplus, no one left behind! Get the positivity flowin budzzz! Let’s spread that optimism brozzzz! Let’s Wiezz the f*!#cking juice bro.”

Disney+ hasn’t commented yet.

Encino Man

California teen Dave Morgan (Sean Astin) is digging a pit for a pool in his backyard when he happens upon a caveman frozen in a block of ice. Aided by his goofy friend Stoney (Pauly Shore), Dave transports their discovery to his garage, where the Neanderthal thaws and is revived. When Dave and Stoney find the living and thoroughly bewildered caveman, they attempt to pass him off as a foreign exchange student named Link (Brendan Fraser), resulting in many misadventures.

The film sports a 15% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Encino Man isn’t the first unabashedly silly comedy to embrace its stupidity and amass a cult following, but whether or not it works for you will largely be determined by your tolerance for Pauly Shore.
