Shockfest 2020 to Offer Award-Winners Distribution Opportunities
The last horror film festival standing in the wake of the dreaded COVID-19, Shockfest Film Festival, is only 2 weeks away. Their mission to continue holding live events for the purpose of showcasing the work of official submitters has generated a powerful buzz within the horror and film community.
With collaboration alongside local government and venue safety regulations, Shockfest has managed to reinvent the concept of a film festival in both approach and execution Starting with their showcase in Times Square, New York City earlier this year where posters of their official submitters were screened on the largest highest tech billboard in the country. Since July, they have toured across New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Nevada and are now on their way to Hollywood California for their main event, SHOCKFEST SPOOKSHOW.
To commemorate this exciting event, the Shockfest team has announced their newest batch of award nominees for their Script and Scroll competition, consisting of the top 10 Screenplays and the top 5 one-sheets submitted through FilmFreeway over the past year.

Another exciting announcement was made this past Friday the 30th of October…Devil’s Night, sure to excite the official submitters of Shockfest Film Festival. Official winners will receive a distribution opportunity through one of the long established Film Distribution Companies Acort International, Brain Damage Films or Midnight Releasing.
The location of Shockfest Film Festival is still a well-kept secret, but tickets are to be announced very soon and the location will be revealed to those who take the daring and exciting plunge into purchasing their ticket.
