More Actors Line Up to Play their Mortal Instruments

And the casting news continues for the tale of a teenager taxed with the unenviable task of protecting our world against hideous demons, Mortal Instruments. Read on for the latest details on who else has joined the fray.

Variety reports that Kevin Durand and Robert Maillet are set to join the cast of Screen Gems and Constantin Films’ The Mortal Instruments. Lily Collins, Jemima West and Jaime Campbell Bower also star in the pic helmed by Harald Zwart.

In the film “Clary, a seemingly ordinary teenager, discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and other deadly creatures.”
