Mike Flanagan Address Possibility of Netflix’s THE HAUNTING Season Three

Netflix & Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House follow-up The Haunting of Bly Manor with Victoria Pedretti hit over the weekend. And today, Flanagan and Trevor Macy talked about a potential third season in The Haunting series.

They tell EW: ″I feel like there’s no shortage of ghosts in the world for all of us. So, if we could find some common language with which to talk about them, then that’s something we always aspire to do this season or beyond, if that’s the way it goes.”

The new season sports a (current) 93% over on Rotten Tomatoes with this Critics Consensus: It may not be as scary as its predecessor, but with plenty of spooky tricks inside its haunted halls and a strong sense of heart, The Haunting of Bly Manor is another solid entry into Mike Flanagan’s growing horrorography.

From the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, the next highly-anticipated chapter of The Haunting anthology series, The Haunting of Bly Manor is set in 1980s England. After an au pair’s tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew (Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) who reside at Bly Manor with the estate’s chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (T’Nia Miller). But all is not as it seems at the manor, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone.

The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor are now streaming on Netflix.
