SPIRAL Director Darren Lynn Bousman Up for More SAW Sequels

Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV director Darren Lynn Bousman’s Spiral: From the Book of Saw with Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson was originally set to hit theaters earlier this year but was delayed until next May due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And today, Bousman says he’s up for more Saw sequels.

Bousman tells ComicBook.com: “One thing I’ve taught myself is never say never because you might come back. So I will say this: there is something magical about the Saw universe and there is something that is so undefinably special about Saw that I can’t articulate itSo, I don’t know. It was a great feeling coming back. I’m obviously just distraught that it was pushed, but also, that was the absolute right decision given where we are in the world right now.”

Synopsis: “Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner William Schenk (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly trapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game”

The new film is once again produced by Oren Koules and Mark Burg. Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger penned the script. Charlie Clouser will provide the score.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw hits May 21, 2021. Excited? Make sure to let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
