Why drop off only 4400 people? Why not make it an even 5000?

The USA Network has come a long way since the days of “Up All Night,” “Duckman,” and “Weird Science.” With series like “The 4400” and “Monk,” USA has made a name for itself as providing entertainment up to par with other popular shows normally seen on the big networks like ABC or NBC.

“The 4400” is a sci-fi drama that stars Joel Gretsch and Jacqueline McKenzie in a tale of a sudden return to Earth of 4,440 people who had previously been missing. While this sounds like your typical alien abduction plot, it is far different than that. The returnees don’t just come back and attempt to lead normal lives. Some of them have developed paranormal abilities.

The season finale of “The 4400” just aired on August 27th, and USA Networks has already announced it’s being picked up for a fourth run according to About Horror. During the summer of 2007 look for USA to start airing the first of 13 new episodes.
