Netflix Nabs Amy Adams Thriller THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW

Netflix is in negotiations to distribute Atonement and Hanna director Joe Wright’s thriller The Woman in the Window with Amy Adams.

It was originally set to hit on October 4, 2019, before being delayed to May 15, 2020. Netflix has yet to assign it a release date.

Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore co-star alongside Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Tyree Henry, and Wyatt Russell.

Tracy Letts wrote the script which Scott Rudin and Eli Bush produced.

Described as Rear Window meets Gone Girl, the film is based on A.J. Finn’s (aka Dan Mallory) bestselling novel. The psychological suspense thriller centers on an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbor across the street from her New York City brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play. A stellar ensemble cast brings Tracy Letts’ screenplay based on the gripping, best-selling novel to life, where shocking secrets are revealed, and no one—and nothing—is what it seems.
