Courteney Cox Confirmed for New SCREAM Movie

It just wouldn’t be a Scream movie without Gail Weathers, and now we can confirm that Courteney Cox will be playing the spunky investigative reporter once again in the upcoming 5th installment of the Scream franchise. Ready or Not filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are helming the project and made the following announcement:
“We can’t imagine Scream without the iconic Gale Weathers and are so incredibly thrilled and humbled to have the opportunity to work with Courteney. We’re absolute mega fans of her work and we’re so excited to join her in the next chapter of the Scream saga!”

Scream 5 is penned by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak are producing with Kevin Williamson and Chad Villella serving as executive producers.
