Alamo on Demand is also excited to unveil two “Six Pack” collections from filmmaker Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar). Six Packs feature six awesome movies built on a theme, curated by a member of the Alamo Drafthouse programming team along with friends of the Alamo. Six Packs are fun, awesome movies curated for a dusk-til-dawn weekend slumber party. His collections can be found HERE and HERE.

The name Lucio Fulci is legendary. Yet most people don’t even know how to pronounce it. He’s one of the wildest, most eccentric and visionary artists in the history of genre cinema. But you may never have even heard of him. His name is Lucio Fulci. You pronounce it “Fool-Chee.” And after a lifetime in the queasy fringes of high-output/low-budget exploitation filmmaking, creating everything from screwball comedies and westerns in the 1960s and 1970s to the fearless, over-the-top-gory horror films of the 1980s he was best known for, Lucio’s untimely death in 1996 passed him into the realm of mystery and relative obscurity. But his most devoted followers have refused to let his legacy die. Oscar-winning filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) and Bob Murawski (The Hurt Locker) and true mavericks of the underground like William Lustig (Maniac) have set out to preserve, restore and present Fulci’s most beloved and notorious films for his legion of devoted followers and new generations of fans.

Now, acclaimed director Simone Scafidi (Zanetti Story, Eva Braun) has crafted a master-stroke tribute in a remarkable new documentary feature film called Fulci For Fake, which probes far beyond these incredible motion pictures and finds the man behind them, who was as dark and fascinating and enigmatic as the stories he told on film.

In celebration of this uniquely cinematic biography, the Alamo has partnered with Severin Films to bring it to you, along with a specially curated selection of The Maestro’s films, in collaboration with Grindhouse Releasing, Blue Underground and others. The faithful will find stunning new HD restorations of Fulci’s most beloved work… and newbies will be transported into a long-gone era of truly fascinating late 20th Century celluloid art, marked by its place in history and consecrated by the passing of time. Come and check out Fulci, folks. But come prepared. Once you experience the films, you will never forget the man.
