Laugh in the Face of Fear: Leatherface Sings “Sawin’ You Apart” (“Achy Breaky Heart” Parody)

We’re huge fans of The Merkins, a merry band of musicians whose wit matches their technical abilities. They’ve got a knack for creating horror-themed parodies of classic hits from the 1980s. The first caught out attention about a year ago when they assembled the Slashstreet Boys, a parody group comprised of horror’s most beloved icons.

Their latest video features Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise singing “Sawin’ You Apart”, a parody of “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus. Give it a spin below.
