ATTACK THE BLOCK 2: Joe Cornish & John Boyega Have Some Ideas
Director Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block with John Boyega is one of the most beloved sci-fi flicks of the past decade. And today, Cornish says he and Boyega still talk about doing a sequel.
Cornish tells ScriptApart: “We’ve got ideas. I met with John a couple of months ago to talk about it. We’ve always had ideas after the first one. But obviously we’ve both been busy doing different things.”
Bring it on, I say!
Attack the Block follows a gang of tough inner-city kids who try to defend their turf against an invasion of savage alien creatures, turning a South London apartment complex into an extraterrestrial warzone.
Rated R for creature violence, drug content and pervasive language, it sports a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Effortlessly mixing scares, laughs, and social commentary, Attack the Block is a thrilling, brisky-paced sci-fi yarn with a distinctly British flavor.
